Esra Uğur, a 29-year-old pregnant nurse at 7 months gestation working in the emergency department in Antalya, was found dead at her home. After relatives could not reach her, teams entering the house found the young woman motionless with a serum drip attached to her arm. While the investigation into Uğur's death, who was reportedly in the process of divorce and had gambling debts, continues, police are considering the possibility that she may have ended her life by injecting an anesthetic substance into the serum.
29-year-old nurse Esra Uğur, who worked in the emergency department of a hospital in Antalya, was found dead at her home. An investigation has been launched into the death of the young woman, who was learned to be 7 months pregnant, and police are focusing on the possibility of suicide.
DISCOVERED WHEN RELATIVES COULD NOT REACH HER
The incident occurred in an apartment building in the Yeşilyurt neighborhood of the Kepez district. Her relatives, who had not heard from her for a while, asked for help from her husband U.U., whom she was in the process of divorcing.
U.U. went to the address and entered the apartment with police teams. During the inspection at the home, Esra Uğur was found motionless on a sofa with a serum attached to her arm.
DETERMINED TO HAVE LOST HER LIFE
Medical teams arriving at the scene upon notification determined that the 29-year-old nurse had lost her life. Following examinations at the scene, Uğur's body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
HER MOTHER FAINTED
Mother Emine Uğur and relatives who came to the Forensic Medicine Institute experienced great grief. Unable to hold back her tears during the delivery of the body, the mother fainted and was taken into an ambulance. Esra Uğur's body will be laid to rest in Kurşunlu Cemetery after a ceremony held at the hospital where she worked.
POSSIBILITY OF SUICIDE BEING INVESTIGATED
In the examination conducted by police teams, it was determined that Esra Uğur had been having problems with her husband for a while, was in the process of divorce, and had gambling debts. It was learned that the teams conducting the investigation are focusing on the possibility that the young woman may have ended her life by injecting an anesthetic substance into the serum on her arm.
