A 13-year-old TikTok phenomenon living in Egypt consumed three packets of uncooked instant noodles in a row to participate in the social media trend of "Eat Ramen Raw." Shortly after, the young person experienced severe stomach pain and vomiting, and was taken to the hospital, but despite all interventions, they lost their life.

"NO TOXIC SUBSTANCE FOUND"

Following the incident, the owner of the market where the noodles were sold was questioned by the police. The products were examined in a laboratory environment, but no toxic or inappropriate substances were found. Authorities stated that the death was not due to the content of the food, but rather the way it was consumed and the excessive amount.

SUFFERED FROM BOWEL OBSTRUCTION

The autopsy revealed that the young person experienced bowel obstruction due to consuming a large amount of raw noodles. Experts emphasized that uncooked noodles can swell in the stomach and intestines without dissolving, leading to serious health issues.

Doctors and food safety experts stated that processed foods like instant noodles must be cooked before consumption. They also pointed out that dangerous trends rapidly spreading on social media pose a significant risk, especially for children.
