Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu stated, "Appointments can be made for some university hospitals through the MHRS system. We will start implementing this as a pilot project at Yozgat Bozok and Pamukkale universities through family medicine as of September 1."

After the meeting, Memişoğlu made a statement to the press, stating that efforts are ongoing to improve the quality of healthcare services, and said: "Appointments can be made through the MHRS (Central Physician Appointment System) for some of the university hospitals. We are starting to implement this as a pilot project at Yozgat Bozok and Pamukkale universities through family medicine as of September 1. As a ministry, we are striving for all areas where healthcare services are provided to be better. We see hospitals not as university hospitals, public hospitals, or private hospitals, but as hospitals serving our nation. We see it as health sciences. Our aim is to provide better healthcare services by offering all kinds of support and assistance."



"WE WILL BRING A NEW 200-BED HOSPITAL TO THE CITY"



Minister Memişoğlu noted that Turkey is progressing towards being a country that not only provides healthcare services but also produces in the health sector, stating, "Together with our doctors, healthcare workers, industrialists, and producers, we are organizing this work so that products will emerge by 2026. I have no doubt that under the leadership of our esteemed President, Turkey will be very successful with a producing health model." Evaluating health investments in Uşak, Memişoğlu said they will bring a new 200-bed hospital to the city.



"OUR PRIORITY IS PROTECTIVE HEALTH"



Memişoğlu emphasized that they prioritize preventive health services, noting that the Public Health Week from September 3-9 is approaching. He explained that they will organize many activities during this week, continuing: "Our priority is, as we always say, protective health. Therefore, we have developed a policy of being proactive, going to our community and teaching them how to live healthily. In this regard, we will go into the field with our mobile smoking vehicles and help people who smoke in neighborhoods, villages, and cafes, explaining how they can quit smoking and how we will support them. Our request from them is to comply with this support. Together, we will reduce smoking habits, which is one of the leading causes of lung cancer, in Turkey."



Minister Memişoğlu stated that digital addiction also leads to health issues such as inactivity and excess weight, expressing that measures will be taken regarding this issue. He mentioned that they are increasing the number of healthy living centers, currently having over 300 centers, where free services are provided by specialists such as dietitians, psychologists, and physiotherapists, cancer screenings are conducted, and he encouraged the community to utilize these centers.
