Fenerbahçe will be the guest of Lyon this evening in the rematch of the 1-1 draw in the UEFA Champions League play-off round. While the yellow-navy team takes to the field to end their 17-year Champions League longing, advancing past the round will also open the door to an income of approximately 1 billion 252 million Turkish lira. Depending on the results in the league phase, the earnings could exceed 2 billion 246 million Turkish lira.

The Lyon-Fenerbahçe match, to be played at Groupama Stadium, will start at 10:00 PM Turkish Time and will be broadcast live on TRT 1. Italian referee Maurizio Mariani will officiate the match. If Lyon wins, the French team will advance. If the match ends in a draw after regular time, the game will go to extra time. If the tie remains unbroken in extra time, a penalty shootout will determine the team that advances.

For Fenerbahçe, the Lyon match has an economic dimension as well as its sporting importance. Having secured €4.3 million in revenue by reaching the play-off round, the Yellow-Navy Blues are expected to reach a total income of approximately 1 billion 252 million TL from participation and other revenues if they eliminate Lyon and advance to the league stage.

Results in the Champions League league stage will also increase Fenerbahçe's revenue. In the league stage, €2.1 million will be paid for each win and €700,000 for each draw.
Depending on the performance of the Yellow-Navy Blues, it is calculated that their total revenue from the Champions League could exceed €40 million, which is approximately 2 billion 246 million TL at the current exchange rate.
4 ABSENTEES FOR FENERBAHÇE
