The driver, who was extracted by teams from the tumbling vehicle, was taken to Antalya City Hospital. A witness said that while the driver was trying to shift into reverse, he most likely shifted into forward gear.
In the observation terrace in the Kepez district of ANTALYA, the car whose steering control was lost by İ.Ö. (50) rolled about 30 meters and overturned. The injured driver was removed from the vehicle through the teams' efforts.
ACCIDENT AT THE OBSERVATION TERRACE ON MAZI MOUNTAIN
The accident occurred at the observation terrace in the Mazı Mountain area located in Kütükçü Neighborhood of Kepez district. The car with license plate 07 CGZ 599 driven by İ.Ö. lost control for an as-yet unknown reason and rolled about 30 meters. İ.Ö., who was stated to be alone in the overturning car, was injured. Upon reports by those around to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the area. İ.Ö., removed from the vehicle through the teams' efforts, was taken to Antalya City Hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. İ.Ö.'s treatment continues.
I HEARD SCREAMING VOICES
Eyewitness Emrah Erkol (38) said, "While I was ahead, screaming voices started coming from the vehicle first. As the driver tried to put it into reverse, most likely he put it into forward gear, and the vehicle headed straight forward and flew down. I thought the car only went forward, but the vehicle flew directly down. Those around reported the situation to 112."
The police investigation into the incident continues.
