In ZONGULDAK, a cat found trapped in the rubble of a building that collapsed 6 days ago, killing one person and injuring one person, was rescued injured. The cat, removed from the rubble by firefighters, was taken under treatment.
In the 3-storey building that collapsed on October 21 on Kadırga Street in Meşrutiyet Neighborhood, Kenan Akçaharman (68), who was trapped under the rubble, was injured, while his sister Türkan Akçaharman Özhan (74) lost her life.
A CAT'S SOUND CAME FROM UNDER THE RUBBLE
This morning, workers clearing the rubble of the collapsed building heard a cat's sound coming from under the rubble. Checking the point where the sound came from, the workers saw that a cat was trapped in the rubble. Upon notification, firefighter teams were dispatched to the area.
THE INJURED CAT WAS TAKEN TO THE SHELTER
The cat, which was removed injured from where it was trapped through the work of firefighter teams, was taken to the Zonguldak Municipality Animal Shelter for treatment. It was reported that the cat, whose treatment continues, did not belong to the family in the collapsed building but was fed on the street by the neighborhood residents.
