The body of the master artist Kenan Işık, who passed away at the age of 76, was delivered to his family and brought to the Atatürk Cultural Center for the first ceremony. The body of Kenan Işık, who passed away in a private hospital in Istanbul, was delivered to his family in the morning. Then, Kenan Işık's body, which was taken from the hospital, was brought to the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) for the first ceremony. The coffin, wrapped in the Turkish flag, was carried onto the stage by his relatives. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, General Director of State Theatres Tamer Karadağlı, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem İmamoğlu, Kenan Işık's wife Beril Işık, his children Ahmet and Mehmet Işık, his brother Mehmet Cengiz Işık, his grandson Doruk Işık, Burcu Akar, historian İlber Ortaylı, and artist Zafer Algöz attended the ceremony.
HE DID NOT LEAVE THE COFFIN
One name drew attention while Kenan Işık's coffin was being placed on the stage. It was revealed that the person who did not leave the head of the coffin on the stage was Fuat Toprak, who has been by Kenan Işık's side for years. Toprak, who performed his last duty for his friend, did not want to speak at the ceremony.
Mehmet Cengiz, who was devastated by the loss of his brother, said in his speech with tears in his eyes, "Is there another role model artist like Kenan Işık? He said, 'I should go now... He reunited with his soulmate'."
WILL BE BURIED TOMORROW
Kenan Işık will be buried at Karşıyaka Cemetery after the funeral prayer, which will be performed after the noon prayer at Ankara Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque on Wednesday, July 31st.
