In the initial investigation conducted by the police regarding the death of the singer Güllü, it was assessed as a "murder," and it was revealed that they opened a space for the suspect, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, and placed them under technical and physical surveillance for more concrete evidence. Additionally, it was learned that the bruise on Güllü's left calf was caused by her hitting the window sill when she was pushed from the window.
The singer Gül Tut, known as 'Güllü', passed away after falling from the window of her apartment in a six-story building on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district on September 26. In the investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, Güllü, who underwent an autopsy, was buried in Istanbul. Güllü's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, and her friend, Sultan Nur Ulu, were taken into custody after the singer gave inconsistent statements in her three previous testimonies. While Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested on charges of 'intentional murder', a 'house arrest' decision was made for Sultan Nur Ulu.
THEY WERE PLACED UNDER SURVEILLANCE FOR MORE EVIDENCE
New details have emerged in the investigation into Güllü's death. Accordingly, Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor Duygu Bayar Öksüz personally followed the investigation with two colleagues from the very beginning. Prosecutor Öksüz evaluated Güllü's death as 'murder' after the preliminary examination conducted by the police and later by the expert on the day of the incident. The prosecutor's office did not take Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, the artist's daughter, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu into custody to allow for the formation of more concrete evidence, instead placing them under technical and physical surveillance 24 hours a day.
THEY WERE HEARD AS COMPLAINANTS AND WITNESSES, BECAME DEFENDANTS
The chief prosecutor's office conducting the investigation summoned Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter to Yalova and took her statement as a complainant three times to avoid any suspicion, while Sultan Nur Ulu was heard as a witness. The contradictions in Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter's statements were also taken into account. In a phone conversation between them, the suspects avoided discussing the incident, and on December 9, they were allegedly caught by the police while preparing to flee. Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was questioned as a defendant in Yalova, was arrested, while Sultan Nur Ulu, who confessed to pushing Tuğyan's mother to her death, was placed under house arrest.
THE BRUISE ON HER LEG WAS CAUSED BY HITTING THE WINDOW SILL
In the examination conducted by the expert, it was determined that Güllü was pushed from behind by her daughter while looking out of her window at the time of the incident, and the bruise found on the left rear calf of the artist during the autopsy raised suspicions. According to Sultan Nur's statement and the expert's findings, it was revealed that the bruise was caused when Güllü's leg hit the window sill as she was pushed by her daughter. In Güllü's autopsy, no signs of struggle were found in the samples taken from under her nails.
SHE WAS SCARED BECAUSE SHE HAD THREATENED HER, BECAME A WITNESS
It was stated that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter had previously beaten Sultan Nur Ulu badly due to her boyfriend. After the fight, Sultan was reported to be afraid of Tuğyan, and after the incident, Tuğyan began to worry that Sultan would confess the truth.
SHE DID NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT HER MOTHER'S DEATH
Meanwhile, it was reported that after being arrested, Tuğyan, who was first transferred to Gebze and then to Marmara Prison, had gotten used to the women's dormitory she was staying in and did not want to talk about her mother's death. It was announced that Tuğyan did not confess in her statements.
A VOICE RECORDING OF SULTAN SAYING "I WILL CONFESS" IS IN THE FILE
Meanwhile, the words "I can't take it anymore. I will confess" spoken by Sultan Nur Ulu during a phone call made shortly before her detention were recorded and added to the investigation file.
The investigation into Güllü's death is ongoing.
