A debt relief is coming for the GSS premium debts of 400,000 people.

A striking development has occurred regarding those who are covered by General Health Insurance (GSS) but do not pay their premiums. The AK Party has completed the legislative work with bureaucrats from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Family and Social Services. A bill related to the issue will be presented to the Parliament in the coming days.

250 MILLION LIRA DEBT WILL BE WAIVED

With the regulation, a debt relief for GSS debts is coming. The 10-year statute of limitations for the collection of GSS premium debts, which will expire on January 1, 2025, will be waived. If the proposal passes in Parliament, the debts of 400,000 people will be erased. Thus, a claim of 250 million lira will be waived.

PACKAGE LAW IS COMING

With another regulation expected to be included in the package law, which is anticipated to consist of 8-9 articles, a new structure specialized in occupational safety and health will be established in provincial centers. From now on, all general and regulatory reports related to occupational health and safety will be provided by centers called ÇASMER.

Additionally, it is foreseen that regulations will be made in the package regarding topics such as the monthly pension rates and age criteria for the disabled.
