Hezbollah, operating in Lebanon, announced that it has officially joined the war between Israel, the U.S., and Iran by targeting an Israeli missile defense facility in Haifa with missiles and drones. The organization also described the attack as "legitimate defense."
The war between Iran and Israel, supported by the US, has officially involved Hezbollah. In a statement made by the organization, it was expressed that an attack was carried out against Israel last night for the "revenge" of the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and to defend Lebanon.
The organization reported that it targeted the Israeli army's missile defense facility in Mishmar el-Karmel, located south of the occupied city of Haifa, with qualified missiles and drones at midnight.
EMPHASIS ON "LEGITIMATE DEFENSE" In its statement, Hezbollah argued that the continuation of Israel's attacks and assassinations granted them the "right to respond at the appropriate time and place."
The organization claimed that Israel could not continue its months-long aggression without receiving any deterrent response and stated that the attack carried out was within the scope of "legitimate defense."
CALL FOR "AGGRESSION TO END" The statement also expressed that Israel should withdraw from the occupied Lebanese territories. A call was made to the relevant parties and authorities to end the attacks by Israel and the US.
