In the Inegol district of Bursa, a dispute between families quickly turned into an armed fight. In the incident, where a pump-action shotgun was used, a person injured his cousin and his 4-year-old son. The fleeing suspect was caught, along with the shotgun he used in the incident, as a result of the police teams' work.
A dispute that started among women in the Inegol district of Bursa grew when their husbands got involved, turning into an armed fight. Tufan E. (40) wounded his cousin Konar E. (31) and his 4-year-old son Omer E. with a pump-action shotgun. The suspect, who fled after the incident, was caught by police teams together with the weapon used in the crime.
ARGUMENT TURNED INTO A FIGHT IN AN INSTANT
The incident occurred around 01:30 at night on Ilgi Street, Yeni Neighborhood, in the Inegol district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out among women for a reason that has not yet been determined.
When the argument grew and turned into a fight, the husbands also got involved. At that moment, Tufan E. fired a pump-action shotgun at his cousin Konar E.
The pellets from the shotgun hit Konar E. and his 4-year-old son Omer E., who was next to him.
FATHER AND SON TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
After the sound of gunshots was heard, those around reported the situation to police and health teams. Health teams arriving at the scene shortly after provided first aid to the injured father and son.
Konar E. and 4-year-old Omer E. were then taken to Inegol State Hospital by ambulances and received treatment.
Police teams started efforts to catch Tufan E., who fled after the incident.
SUSPECT CAUGHT WITH SHOTGUN
As a result of the work carried out by the teams of the Inegol Police Department Public Order Bureau, Tufan E. was caught in a house in the Orhaniye Neighborhood in the morning hours.
Police teams also seized the pump-action shotgun believed to have been used in the incident, which was with the suspect. Tufan E., who was taken into custody, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
INJURED FATHER AND SON DISCHARGED
It was learned that Konar E. and his 4-year-old son Omer E., who were taken under treatment at the hospital, were in good health and were discharged after their treatment.
It was reported that the investigation into the incident continues.
