The accident occurred on Friday, May 15, around 10:00 AM in Beşiktaş Dolmabahçe. According to the information obtained, the closed van with license plate 34 MLL 920, driven by Mehmet K., struck female police officer Ş.A., who was directing traffic flow. The police officer was thrown onto the road by the impact and was seriously injured.

It was learned that the female police officer had skull fractures and suffered a brain hemorrhage. It was reported that the police officer's life-threatening condition continues as she is being treated in intensive care.

After completing his procedures at the police station, Mehmet K. was referred to the courthouse. Following his procedures, driver Mehmet K. was released under judicial control.
