The lifeless body of Öner Tütüniçmez (31), who had set out on a motorcycle from Edirne city center to go to Elçili village and had been reported missing since last evening, was found in an irrigation canal near Üyüklütatar village in the morning hours.
THEY FOUGHT OVER THE BODY
A quarrel broke out between the wife and mother of Tütüniçmez, a father of two, who arrived at the scene upon receiving the tragic news, as they blamed each other for the accident over the body. The altercation between the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law quickly escalated into a physical scuffle, which was barely calmed down by the gendarmerie and fire department teams intervening at the scene.
While family members suffering from nervous breakdowns were escorted away from the area, Tütüniçmez's body was taken to the hospital morgue after examinations. Investigations within the scope of the incident continue.
