In Izmir, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the face and died in an armed fight over a girl. After the incident, 5 out of 13 suspects, including minors under 18, were arrested.
A dispute over a girl in Karabağlar ended with a death. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the face and lost his life, while 5 of the 13 people detained in connection with the incident were sent to prison.
DISPUTE OVER GIRL ENDS BLOODILY
The incident occurred on June 7 in the Karabağlar district. According to information obtained, two groups with a feud over a girl sent each other locations and met. An argument between the parties at the designated address quickly turned into a fight. During the fight, guns were fired consecutively. A.Ç. (15) was seriously injured, while some suspects involved in the incident, who were under 18, fled the scene. A.Ç., seriously injured by a bullet to the face, died in the hospital despite all interventions.
POLICE TEAMS LAUNCH COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION
A comprehensive investigation was carried out by the Asayiş Şube Müdürlüğü Cinayet Büro Amirliği, SAM Büro Amirliği, and Karabağlar İlçe Emniyet Müdürlüğü teams, with support from the İstihbarat Şube Müdürlüğü. Examinations revealed that the feuding parties sent each other locations on the day of the incident, met, and started using weapons upon confrontation.
13 SUSPECTS CAUGHT
As a result of detailed camera reviews and field work, a total of 13 suspects, including 4 Juveniles Pushed to Crime (SSÇ), were identified as being involved in the incident, aside from the deceased A.Ç. The suspects were caught and detained along with 3 unlicensed pistols.
Of the suspects sent to court, 1 was released by the prosecutor's office, while 7 were released under judicial control. The other suspects, E.Ö. (24), A.Ö. (20), S.Ö. (27), H.B. (17), and S.H. (16), were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
