A quarrel that started in a forested area between Osman Togo, who came to Bartın from Tokat for a visit, and his friend Aydın Bozoğlu ended in murder. The suspect, who struck Togo on the head with a wooden mallet during the fight, causing his death, fled the scene but was apprehended by gendarmerie shortly afterwards.
Osman Togo (55) was killed in the Kozcagiz town of Bartin after being struck on the head with a wooden mallet during an argument with his visiting friend Aydin Bozoglu (56). Bozoglu, who fled the scene, was captured by gendarmerie teams.
STRUCK ON THE HEAD WITH A WOODEN MALLET
The incident occurred around 17:30 in a forested area at the Avgolu location. An argument broke out between Aydin Bozoglu and Osman Togo, who had come to visit him from the Pazar district of Tokat. When the argument turned into a fight, Bozoglu struck his friend Togo on the head with a wooden mallet. Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams determined that Togo had lost his life.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
Aydin Bozoglu, who had fled the scene, was captured and taken into custody by gendarmerie teams at the Bogaz location. Osman Togo's body was taken to the morgue of Bartin State Hospital for an autopsy, and an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
