Legal proceedings were initiated against a fan who was determined to have thrown a plastic cup at footballer Daniel Agyei after the visiting team's goal in the Beşiktaş-Kocaelispor match. The suspect E.S., who was taken into custody on the instructions of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was referred to the courthouse after police procedures. The suspect, who gave a statement at the prosecutor's office, was sent to the court with a request for arrest on the charge of 'intentional injury with a weapon in sports areas'.

THREW A CUP AT FOOTBALLER DURING GOAL CELEBRATION
In the match where Beşiktaş hosted Kocaelispor at its home ground, a plastic cup was thrown from the stands onto the pitch after the visiting team's goal. Upon the cup being thrown at Kocaelispor footballer Daniel Agyei, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action regarding the incident.
DETAINED
During the investigations, a detention order was issued for E.S., who was determined to have thrown the cup. The suspect, caught by police teams, was taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan after his procedures were completed.
REFERRED TO THE COURT WITH A REQUEST FOR ARREST
E.S., whose statement was taken at the prosecutor's office, was referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest on the charge of "intentional injury with a weapon in sports areas." The decision on whether the suspect will be arrested is expected to be given by the court.
