Liverpool has retired Diogo Jota's number 20 jersey and will cover all educational expenses for Diogo Jota's children for life. Additionally, the English club has decided to pay Diogo Jota's remaining two-year contract to his family.

Since 2020, following the death of Diogo Jota, who had been part of the squad, Liverpool decided to retire Jota's number 20 jersey.

According to a report in Record; Liverpool club will cover all educational expenses for Diogo Jota's children for life. Additionally, according to the decision made, all of the player's salary stipulated in his contract until June 2027 will be paid to his family.
