A development in the fuel market that will upset autogas users. According to information obtained from sector sources, a huge 9-lira increase in the per-liter price of LPG is expected. With the hike expected to take effect at midnight on Tuesday, the price per liter of autogas will exceed 50 liras.
Fluctuations in exchange rates and volatility in Brent oil prices continue to directly affect fuel prices. According to sector sources, a 9 TL price increase is expected in the autogas (LPG) group, effective from midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
AN INCREASE OF OVER 20%
If the expected increase materializes, litre prices in Istanbul, currently ranging between 41.00 and 42.31 TL, will directly surpass the 50 TL threshold. This rate will reflect as a cost increase of approximately 21 to 22 percent on current pump prices.
NO CHANGE IN GASOLINE AND DIESEL
Market representatives state that, at this stage, no new increase or decrease is anticipated in gasoline and diesel prices.
