MONEY AND GUNS FOUND IN MURAT ONGUN'S HOUSE
Two separate investigations are ongoing by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of terrorism and corruption against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu. New footage of the 87 suspects, who were detained along with İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, continues to emerge.
New footage has emerged regarding the searches conducted at the home of Murat Ongun, the Chairman of İBB Media Inc., who was detained at his house in Beykoz. The large amounts of foreign currency, Turkish Lira, shotguns, and bullets seized during the search drew attention.
CORRUPTION AND TERROR OPERATION AGAINST İBB
Investigations initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu and 99 suspects for the crimes of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender," are ongoing. Investigations have also been initiated against İmamoğlu, İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, among 7 suspects, for the crime of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."
87 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY
Following the detention orders, law enforcement agencies took action, detaining 84 suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, İBB Presidential Advisor Murat Ongun, Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık, Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, and singer Ercan Saatçi. In the continuation of the operations, 3 more suspects, who had detention orders against them, were captured. The detained suspects are being processed at the Istanbul Police Department's Vatan Campus. Efforts to capture 19 suspects are also ongoing.
