Two people in a light commercial vehicle that crashed into the barriers like an arrow at the Düzce crossing of the TEM Highway lost their lives at the scene.
The accident occurred at the Üçköprü location of the Düzce crossing of the TEM Highway. According to the information obtained, the light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 GJA 956, driven by Doğan Yüner, went out of control after the driver lost steering control. The swerving vehicle crashed into the steel barriers on the roadside like an arrow. Upon the notification of other drivers who witnessed the accident, fire, medical, highway gendarmerie, and road teams were dispatched to the scene. In the horrific accident where the vehicle entered from the engine compartment and exited from the rear door, the vehicle was almost completely wrecked.
An INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE ACCIDENT
In the checks conducted by the medical teams that arrived at the scene shortly, it was determined that the vehicle driver Doğan Yüner and passenger İsmet Gülyar lost their lives at the scene. The lifeless bodies of Yüner and Gülyar, who were rescued from the place they were trapped after the long efforts of the fire brigade, were taken to the morgue after the examination of the public prosecutor at the scene.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
