On the 10th anniversary of July 15, chief public prosecutor's offices across Turkey initiated operations against 973 suspects linked to the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization. In simultaneous operations conducted across 81 provinces, 704 suspects were apprehended. Among those captured, 170 are active public personnel, 6 are retired, 44 are dismissed public personnel, and 484 are private sector employees and civilians.
10 years have passed since the treacherous coup attempt by the armed terrorist organization FETÖ/PDY. Days before the 10th anniversary of the epic written on July 15, on July 13, the button was pressed across Turkey to apprehend individuals linked to FETÖ/PDY.
973 SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED
Within the scope of investigations carried out by the chief public prosecutor's offices of 81 provinces to uncover the armed terrorist organization FETÖ/PDY, simultaneous operations were conducted to apprehend 973 suspects linked to the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization.
704 SUSPECTS APPREHENDED
In the operations, 704 of the suspects were captured and taken into custody, while the apprehension processes for 269 continue.
Of the 704 suspects taken into custody, 170 are active public personnel, 6 are retired, 44 are dismissed public personnel, and 484 are private sector employees and civilians.
111 AFFILIATED WITH TWO MINISTRIES
Of the 170 active public personnel in custody, 97 were determined to be affiliated with the Ministry of Interior, and among them, 1 is a police chief, 1 is a police inspector, 94 are police officers, and 1 is gendarmerie personnel.
It was determined that 14 of these suspects are affiliated with the Ministry of Justice, with 1 being a clerk, 8 being prison guards, and 5 being private attorneys.
It was also learned that among those taken into custody in the operations are teachers, doctors, nurses, academics, and research assistants.
