A 36-year-old mentally disabled woman who became ill after leaving an indoor swimming pool in Mardin Artuklu has died. It was stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.
Canan Soy (36), a mentally disabled woman who became ill after swimming in an indoor swimming pool in the Artuklu district of Mardin, died in the hospital where she was taken.
SHE BECAME ILL AFTER GETTING OUT OF THE POOL
The incident occurred in the central Nur Neighborhood in the afternoon. According to the allegation, Canan Soy, who was learned to be mentally disabled, entered the indoor swimming pool, which is 1 meter deep. Soy, who swam for a while, became ill in the chair she sat on after getting out of the pool.
SHE LOST HER LIFE
Upon the notification, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Soy, who was taken to Mardin Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention by medical teams, could not be saved despite all the doctors' efforts. Soy's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. It was stated that the exact cause of Canan Soy's death will be determined after autopsy procedures.
An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
