In Aksaray, 12 people were injured, 2 seriously, in an accident where a minibus carrying agricultural workers rear-ended a truck. The accident occurred around 21:00 at the 30th kilometer of the Aksaray - Konya highway. The minibus with license plate 50 ADV 205, driven by İbrahim Çavlı (35), rear-ended a truck with license plate 42 EDC 32, driven by Mehmet Çelik (60), on a road slippery due to rain. The driver İbrahim Çavlı and 11 others in the vehicle were injured. Upon notification from witnesses, health, gendarmerie, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The trapped driver and passengers were rescued after 30 minutes of efforts by the teams.
2 INJURED IN SERIOUS CONDITION
12 injured were taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by ambulances. It was learned that 2 of the injured are in serious condition. Taha Demir, who said they were going from Şanlıurfa to Polatlı district of Ankara, stated, "I was coming behind them with a minibus. I came because traffic was jammed. There was an accident, and I saw it was my cousin. We were going from Şanlıurfa to Polatlı." The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident.
