A minibus whose driver lost control on the TEM Highway in Sultangazi crashed into barriers and overturned. In the accident, 12 people, including 1 child, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
OVERTURNED AFTER CRASHING INTO BARRIERS
The accident occurred around 06:30 at the Gazi junction in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood area of the TEM Highway. According to claims, the minibus with license plate 34 PYJ 050, driven by Osman A., crashed into barriers and overturned after the driver lost control. Upon notification by witnesses, fire department, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
PASSENGERS RESCUED BY BREAKING THE MINIBUS WINDOWS
Police teams took security measures in the area and ensured controlled traffic flow. Fire department teams rescued the passengers inside the minibus by breaking the windows. In the accident, 12 people, including 1 child, who were determined to be injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention by health teams. Driver Osman A. was taken to the police station for his statement. While there was traffic congestion for a while due to the accident, traffic on the road returned to normal after the minibus was removed.
