The identities of those who lost their lives in the fire tragedy in Kartalkaya, which has devastated Turkey, are becoming clear. Esra Nazik, who worked as a chef at the hotel, is among the victims. It has been reported that the young girl, who started working at the hotel a month before the fire, grabbed her phone to call for help during the struggle with the flames, asking, "Why aren't you coming to help?"
76 people lost their lives and 51 were injured in the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya. The victims left behind heartbreaking life stories. One of them was 25-year-old Esra Nazik, who worked as a chef at the hotel.
It was learned that Esra Nazik, who graduated from the Department of Tourism Gastronomy at Akdeniz University in 2022, started working at the hotel a month ago.

Esra Nazik's body was handed over to her relatives after the autopsy procedures at the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institution. Her father, Süleyman Nazik, who was barely standing, expressed his sorrow by saying, "My daughter was still very young."
"WE ARE BURNING, WHERE ARE YOU?"
Esra Nazik's relative, Erhan Yıldız, said, "When she became aware of the fire, she called several places saying 'We are burning, where are you?' After that, we couldn't reach her again. I don't know about the fire department, but she called a few places and asked, 'Why aren't you coming to help?'"
Esra Nazik's body was taken to Konya for burial.
