In the Kapaklı district of Tekirdağ, lightning that struck an empty plot of land in Mevlana Neighborhood during heavy rainfall injured 38-year-old Nurcan P., who was walking on the street, and her 5-year-old daughter A.P. The mother, who was taken to Çerkezköy State Hospital, was referred to Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Hospital because her condition was serious; the little girl was discharged after treatment.

Heavy rainfall was effective in Tekirdağ and its surroundings today. Lightning struck the empty lot next to Ceren Street in the Mevlana Neighborhood of Kapaklı district at around 14:30. At that time, Nurcan P. and her daughter A.P., who were walking on the street, were injured after being affected by the lightning. Following reports from those who saw the incident, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
