In the Seyhan district of Adana, a minibus hit 22-year-old Ümmü Elsun while she was trying to cross the street at a pedestrian crossing. The driver fled the scene but was caught by the police. The injured woman died in the hospital.
A person trying to cross the street at a pedestrian crossing in Adana's central Seyhan district lost their life after being hit by a minibus engaged in urban passenger transport.
HIT BY MINIBUS AND FLED
While trying to cross the street using a pedestrian crossing on Bülent Angın Boulevard in the Sümer neighborhood, Ümmü Elsun (22) was struck by an urban passenger minibus driven by Mehmet Levent T, whose license plate has not yet been learned. After the accident, in which Elsun was seriously injured, the driver waited at the scene for a while and then fled in the minibus.
PASSED AWAY
Upon notification, police and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the accident site. Injured Elsun was taken by ambulance to Seyhan State Hospital, where she passed away despite all interventions. Police teams apprehended the fleeing driver through their efforts. The driver's procedures at the police station are ongoing.
