UNLICENSED HUNTING RIFLE SEIZED

The suspect C.Ö., who hunted the mountain goat that is prohibited to hunt in the Sugözü neighborhood of Elazığ, started to flee when he saw the patrolling gendarmerie teams. The fleeing suspect was caught and detained by the teams, and a sack he was carrying on his back contained pieces of mountain goat meat and one licensed hunting rifle was seized.

650,000 LIRA FINE IMPOSED

The seized materials were handed over to the Elazığ Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate for administrative action. A fine of 650,000 lira was imposed on the individual by the teams.
