Stating that the fire in Bolu Kartalkaya deeply saddened and hurt everyone, Mayor Bozbey announced that 13 hotels were thoroughly inspected and the reports were sent to the Ministry of Tourism and relevant authorities. After the disaster, Mayor Bozbey mentioned that there were a few fires in Uludağ that the public was not aware of, saying, "Our friends reached the scene in 2 minutes and extinguished the fire. We have 18 personnel and 3 vehicles at the Uludağ Fire Department, and they can reach the hotels in Uludağ in 2 minutes. We communicate our findings to the Ministry and will continue to do so," he said.
"THERE ARE 36 MUNICIPALITIES IN BURSA"
Stating that there are 36 municipalities in Bursa, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, "There are 17 districts and the Metropolitan Municipality. You might wonder where the 36 municipalities come from. Each Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) is actually a municipality. The Uludağ Area Management is a municipality. They have financial power. They issue permits. They have technical teams. When looked at, there are not 18 municipalities in Bursa along with the Metropolitan Municipality. There are 36 municipalities together with the Metropolitan Municipality. The coordination of these is very important. With the formation of these structures, everyone is responsible for their own region. Everyone makes their own decisions. The same goes for Uludağ and the OSBs. The discussion should be about how to create the integrity and how the intervention will be made," he said.
