A probe was initiated at the request of Hasan Arat in Beşiktaş.

Former president Hasan Arat, who resigned from his position in Beşiktaş, made a highly talked-about move following the allegations made against him by Samet Aybaba, who recently left his role as the coordinator of the black-and-white football teams.

SUBMITTED ALL DOCUMENTS TO THE AUDIT COMMITTEE

Hasan Arat, the former president of Beşiktaş who recently stepped down, submitted all information and documents to the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Gökhan Tiryaki, regarding the serious accusations and slander that have emerged in the public domain. He formally requested a comprehensive audit to be conducted under the authority granted to the Audit Committee by the Beşiktaş regulations and for a prompt public statement to be made regarding all the events.

HASAN ARAT'S WRITTEN STATEMENT

In Hasan Arat's written statement, the following expressions are included;

"As it is known, I have resigned from the presidency of the 35th Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club Association and from the Board of Directors on November 29, 2024. The statements made by former football teams coordinator Samet Aybaba during the press conference he held on November 30, 2024, contain serious accusations and slander against me, my colleagues, our athletes, and our Club. I kindly request that the Club documents shared with the public in the aforementioned speech be investigated one by one, and that the documents which have always been submitted to you with full transparency as per the regulations, be examined in the records of Beşiktaş Football Investments Industry and Trade Inc. as well as the Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club Association, and that the salary, bonus, and contract offered to us by the relevant person be shared with the public. It is well known that the establishment of a discrediting policy in this way in the position we have been elected to, the sharing of Club records in this manner, and the deliberate devaluation of professionals, the Club management, and our Football A Team players will cause deep wounds to our Club. I am sending you all the information and documents we have regarding these matters. I kindly request that you act with sensitivity as a democratically elected Chairman and members of the Audit Committee."

STATEMENT FROM THE AUDIT COMMITTEE: INVESTIGATION AND REVIEW INITIATED

Gökhan Tiryaki, the Chairman of the Beşiktaş Audit Committee, made a statement following the documents and letter sent by Hasan Arat. Gökhan Tiryaki's words are as follows;

"Mr. Hasan Arat, the 35th President of Beşiktaş JK, has conveyed the information and documents he possesses to me following the statements made by former Football Teams Coordinator Mr. Samet Aybaba during the press conference held yesterday.

In addition to some processes that are currently being audited in our existing audit program, necessary work has been initiated by myself and my team for matters requiring review/investigation, and it will be concluded objectively and reported as per the authority granted to our committee by the General Assembly and the BJK Regulations."
