Former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız made a scathing statement about the investment fund allegations raised against him. Speaking to journalist Şamil Tayyar, Yıldız explained his condition by saying, "I will drop the lawsuit on one condition," as follows: "If the slanderer says, 'I am a dishonorable, despicable person; I wrote a lie,' I will drop the lawsuit. I have given him 24 hours; that period expires at noon today," he said.

Tayyar included the following statements in his explanation: "Following the news of the '550 million lira swindle' spreading from Kayseri, I spoke with our former Energy Minister Taner Yıldız. He was very angry. Especially at the local journalist who wrote the allegation. He said, 'Completely false,' and added:
"I WILL DROP THE CASE ON ONE CONDITION"
"Let alone 550 million lira, I have no 550 lira, 1 lira in the fund. I will file the heaviest compensation lawsuit of his life against the slanderer who made the false accusation.
