Brazilian social media influencer Amanda dos Santos Barbosa (24) tragically lost her life after falling from a moving vehicle while returning from a night out. The horrifying incident occurred while the young woman was taking a selfie with her phone. In the incident that took place in João Pessoa, Brazil, Amanda was in a car with three friends when she was recording a video for social media. Security camera footage shows Amanda, who was filming through the sunroof of the vehicle, losing her balance and falling onto the road as the car suddenly braked. On the night of November 18, Monday, another vehicle struck Amanda, who was lying motionless on the ground. The young woman, who was seriously injured, died at the scene. The police have launched an investigation to determine exactly how the incident occurred. The team, led by Chief Inspector Getúlio Machado, has begun reviewing all security camera footage from the party venue to the location of the accident. Friends who were in the vehicle at the time of the incident were also taken to the police station to provide statements, and it was noted that they would be called back for further questioning to clarify the details of the incident. This incident marks the second tragic event following the deaths of two influencers who drowned while taking selfies without wearing life jackets on a party boat off the coast of Sao Paulo last month. 37-year-old Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim and 27-year-old Beatriz Tavares da Silva Faria had not worn life jackets due to concerns that their 'selfies' would look bad, and they lost their lives when the boat sank.
