One of the world's largest pirate sports streaming platforms, Streameast, has been shut down in an international operation. The platform, which was watched by millions of people from the Premier League to the NBA, and from the Champions League to the NFL, was halted through a joint operation by the U.S.-based Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) and the Egyptian police.

Streameast had become a global giant in piracy, reaching 1.6 billion visitors just last year. The platform illegally offered organizations such as the Premier League, Champions League, Formula 1, NBA, MLB, and NFL to its users through over 80 domains.
