Vehicles involved in an accident in Şanlıurfa ran over a police officer who was conducting an operation. It was learned that the police officer was taken to the hospital and received treatment. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
A traffic accident occurred in the Şair Nabi neighborhood of Haliliye district, Şanlıurfa. According to the information obtained, police teams placed barriers on Cumhuriyet Street during the night and conducted vehicle inspections. During the check, while driver Samet K. of the vehicle with license plate 63 VR 818 was stopped for document control, the light commercial vehicle with license plate 59 ACM 743, driven by Mehmet Reşat Ç., noticed the stopped car at the last moment. Despite the driver turning the steering wheel, the light commercial vehicle struck the right rear side of the car.
POLICE OFFICER RUN OVER
Propelled forward by the force of the collision, the light commercial vehicle hit a police officer who was waiting in front. The officer trapped under the vehicle was rescued with the help of colleagues at the checkpoint. Upon notification, health teams dispatched to the scene provided first aid to the injured officer and then transported him to the hospital by ambulance.
