Within the scope of the corruption investigation into Çankaya Municipality conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayor Hasan Karabulut, Eyüpsultan Municipality Private Secretary Director Güray Geçyatan, and Benan Esengül were taken into custody.
A simultaneous operation was conducted in Istanbul as part of the investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Çankaya Municipality.
In the operation carried out by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department, Eyüpsultan Deputy Mayor Hasan Karabulut, Eyüpsultan Municipality Private Secretary Güray Geçyatan, and Benan Esengül, who were subject to detention orders, were taken into custody.
THREE DETAINEES TO BE TRANSFERRED TO ANKARA
As part of the operation, search and seizure procedures were also carried out at the suspects' homes and workplaces. The three individuals taken into custody are expected to be transferred to Ankara, where the investigation is being conducted, after their processing at the police department.
