A 43-year-old Turkmen woman reportedly fell from the 5th floor while cleaning windows in Istanbul's Fatih district and died after landing in the building's air shaft. Following the investigation at the scene, the prosecutor's office classified the incident as a suspicious death.

COULD NOT BE SAVED EVEN AFTER THE BATHROOM WALL OF THE 1ST FLOOR APARTMENT WAS BROKEN

The incident occurred around 18:00 on Cambaziye Mektebi Street in Koca Mustafapaşa Neighborhood. According to claims, Telli Novruzova, a Turkmenistan national who wanted to clean the window of her apartment on the 5th floor of the building she lived in, fell into the apartment shaft. Police, health, and firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification by residents. Firefighters arriving at the scene broke the bathroom wall of a 1st floor apartment to reach Telli Novruzova, who was trapped in the shaft. The woman was removed from her location and handed over to health teams, where she was determined to have lost her life.

PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE EVALUATED AS SUSPICIOUS DEATH

Following the work at the scene, the prosecutor's office evaluated the incident as a suspicious death. Novruzova's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation into the incident continues.
