The UNESCO-recognized gastronomic city of Afyonkarahisar hosted the world's largest sausage and egg record attempt at the 7th Gastro Afyon Festival. With 1 ton of sausage and 15,000 eggs, the sausage and eggs prepared by 30 chefs in a giant pan measuring 25 square meters weighed in at 1,930 kilograms and entered the Guinness World Records.
The 1930-kilogram sausage and egg dish made with 1 ton of sausage and 15,000 eggs has entered the Guinness World Records in Afyonkarahisar.
The record attempt for the sausage and egg dish, which is among the essentials of the UNESCO-recognized gastronomic city of Afyonkarahisar, was made during the 7th Gastro Afyon Festival.
1 TON OF SAUSAGE, 15 THOUSAND EGGS
The sausage and egg dish, prepared by 30 chefs in a giant pan of 25 square meters with 1 ton of sausage and 15,000 eggs, was cooked under the supervision of Guinness World Records adjudicator Şeyda Subaşı Gemici.
ENTERED THE BOOK OF RECORDS
Gemici first tasted the cooked sausage and egg dish, then measured its weight, and announced that the sausage and egg dish has entered the Guinness Book of Records: "To break the world's largest sausage and egg record, the minimum weight set by Guinness World Records was determined to be 1000 kilograms. Today, the weight of the sausage and egg dish we weighed has been determined to be 1930 kilograms.
