In the Sur district of Diyarbakır, 28-year-old Elif Kaymaz was found shot in the head at home by her religiously married husband. While Kaymaz passed away in the hospital, her religiously married husband was arrested as a suspect.
Elif Kaymaz (28), who was found shot in the head at home in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, has passed away. Hudeyda Baran Alacabey, with whom she was living in a religious marriage, has been detained and arrested.
YOUNG WOMAN FOUND SHOT IN HER HOME
The incident occurred on June 7 in a house located in the Cevat Paşa neighborhood of the Sur district. According to allegations, Hudeyda Baran Alacabey found Elif Kaymaz shot in the head with a gun when he returned home in the evening. Hudeyda Baran Alacabey took the woman outside and, with the help of bystanders, transported her to the hospital. Elif Kaymaz, who was admitted for treatment, passed away on the day of the incident.
RELIGIOUS MARRIAGE SPOUSE ARRESTED
During the investigation by the Homicide Bureau teams of the Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch at the scene, 3 bullet casings were found. Based on suspicion, Hudeyda Baran Alacabey was detained. After the procedures at the police station, Alacabey was arrested by the court to which he was brought. While an investigation into the incident has been initiated, Elif Kaymaz's body was buried in the Yeniköy cemetery in the Bağlar district after the autopsy.
