World-famous Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's Bodrum investment has become clear. It was stated that Abramovich, who bought a 100,000-square-meter plot of land in the region, will build only 3 mansions, not a hotel.
The address of world-famous Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who has recently been on the agenda with claims that he would make tourism and real estate investments in Turkey, has become clear. Journalist Fatih Altaylı announced that Abramovich bought a huge plot of land in Bodrum.
It was learned that the famous businessman, who set his sights on the Muğla coast, turned to the neighboring parcel right next to it when he could not find an area of the scale he was looking for in the Kaplankaya region.
100-DÖNÜM PLOT OF LAND AND TWO PRIVATE BEACHES
The plot of land Abramovich closed on is said to be approximately 100,000 square meters (100 dönüm) in size and to include two private beaches of his own. The most striking aspect of the investment was that it challenged the speculative gains and construction density in the region.
It was stated that the Russian billionaire, instead of establishing a giant hotel complex on the huge plot of land, would build only three luxury houses in total, one for every 30 dönüm, without harming nature.

Evaluating the development in his column, Fatih Altaylı stated that such elite real estate projects would contribute to Turkey's tourism image and made the following assessment:
"Thus, there will be no debates such as density, destruction of nature, or environmental damage. Most importantly, this region will now be home to super-luxury mansions worth 10 million, even 100 million dollars each, just as in the South of France, Sardinia, or Marbella. This type of high-quality investment lifts the country's global brand value."
