Dündar Ziya Gültekin, Deputy Mayor of Üsküdar, who was involved in a traffic accident in Düzce, passed away. AK Party Deputy Chairman Faruk Acar, making a statement on the matter, said, 'May God have mercy on the deceased; I wish patience and condolences to his grieving family, relatives, and loved ones. May his resting place be paradise.'
Sad news came from the chain-reaction traffic accident that occurred in the Düzce section of the Anatolian Motorway. Üsküdar Acting Mayor Dündar Ziya Gültekin, who was seriously injured in the accident, could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken and lost his life.

It was learned that Gültekin had set out to go to Ankara to attend the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye elections. The death of Gültekin, who was taken to hospital after the chain-reaction accident involving 3 vehicles, caused deep sorrow.
