In the traffic accident that occurred in the Düzce section of the Anatolian Highway, Üsküdar Acting Mayor Dündar Ziya Gültekin lost his life and 4 people were injured. During the accident, a doctor passing by the scene was seen trying to revive Gültekin with CPR.
A doctor who happened to be passing by the scene tried to revive Gültekin with CPR WAS HEADING TOWARD ANKARA The car with license plate 34 VR 2034, in which Gültekin was traveling on the highway in the direction of Ankara, collided with the car with license plate 16 ARZ 453 traveling in the same direction at the Kaynaşlı Sarıçökek area. Upon notification, medical and police teams were dispatched to the accident scene.
LOST HIS LIFE Gültekin and 4 people were taken to nearby hospitals by medical teams. Gültekin, who was taken under treatment at a private hospital, could not be saved despite the intervention performed there. AK Party Provincial Chairman Hasan Şengüloğlu, stating that all medical interventions had been performed since the moment of the accident, said, "But unfortunately we could not save him. Our condolences."
"IT IS ASSESSED THAT HE SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK" Şengüloğlu, who reported that no injury or impact related to the accident was visible on Gültekin's body, said, "It is assessed that he had a heart attack due to the shock of the incident. It will become clear in the coming process, but during the incident, two doctors who were passing by and saw the accident stopped and provided first aid. Then they came to the ambulance and continued the intervention. Interventions continued at the hospital as well. Interventions were performed for about 1.5 hours, but unfortunately we could not save him."
