In the fourth match of the Turkish National Team in Group B of the UEFA Nations League, where they defeated Iceland 4-2, Acun Ilıcalı, the owner of the broadcasting channel TV8, made a statement regarding the betting site advertisements that appeared on the screen during the match. In his statement on social media, Ilıcalı noted that the advertising boards belonged to the Icelandic Federation and that they had not made any agreement regarding this matter.

The Turkish National Team defeated Iceland 4-2 away in their fourth match of Group 4 in the UEFA Nations League B. The broadcaster of the match, TV8, received a statement from the channel's owner Acun Ilıcalı regarding the betting site advertisements shown during the match.

"IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY"

In his statement, Acun Ilıcalı said, "First of all, I congratulate our National Team. Let me give a concrete answer regarding the advertising boards; the LED screens belong to the Icelandic Federation, and they have nothing to do with us, directly or indirectly. To those who manipulate this intentionally; we did not make any agreement, and we did not receive half of the money either."
