An Israeli military official said that if their nuclear objectives, such as removing Iran's highly enriched uranium from the country, cannot be achieved, their attacks would be considered a major failure.
While the delicate ceasefire between the US and Iran continues, an Israeli official made a statement regarding Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles. A senior unnamed official from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told local media that if Iran's approximately 400 kilograms of enriched uranium resources are not removed from the country, the ongoing war could be considered a "major failure."
"EFFORTS WILL HAVE BEEN WASTED"
The official said that if an agreement is not reached during the US-Iran negotiation process to remove uranium stockpiles from the country and end Tehran's enrichment activities, then their efforts in the 40 days of conflict "will have been wasted."
"A MAJOR FAILURE"
The Israeli official stated, "If we do not achieve our nuclear goals, everything we have done in Iran will be considered a major failure. The malicious Iranian regime could refocus on its nuclear program."
NEW THREAT OF ATTACK ON IRAN
The official argued that if the uranium in Iran is removed from the country's borders through diplomatic means, they "will have fulfilled their duty." He added that if this does not happen, they may need to launch new attacks on Iran.
Meanwhile, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said during a visit to occupied Lebanon, "Regarding the current military activities in Iran and Lebanon, every objective defined for us by the political authorities has been achieved, and even exceeded."
