Following the investigation into Haluk Levent and the Ahbap Association, Pelin Batu, who drew attention with her post saying "the state was not there" regarding the February 6 earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş, made a statement on her social media account.
"I DON'T KNOW IF IT WILL BE ACCEPTED, BUT I AM SORRY"
Apologizing and expressing her regret, Batu said, "I removed the content I shared during the earthquake period. I sincerely apologize to all our people, especially state institutions and administrators. I don't know if it will be accepted, but I am very sorry. Disinformation can sometimes affect all of us. Acting without research, based on trust, was wrong. People now no longer know who or what to trust. As a diplomat's daughter, this did not suit me."
WHAT DID PELIN BATU SAY?
In her message shared during the earthquake, Pelin Batu had said, "The state was not there, but the people were there, civil society organizations, Haluk Levent and Ahbap, and thousands of unnamed heroes, from the child who sent their piggy bank to the dog waiting with a slice of bread at its owner's grave, there is a beautiful nation."
