Journalist Irem Delice, who was released under judicial supervision in the investigation launched over the social media post 'Erdogan has died' made by Aydin Denge Newspaper's social media account, was detained again and arrested upon the prosecutor's objection. Within the scope of the investigation, legal proceedings had also been carried out against the newspaper's representative and other employees.
Following the announcement of the death notice of a person named Gülşen Erdoğan on the social media account of Aydın Denge Newspaper under the title "Erdoğan has died," an investigation was launched on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information." Within the scope of this investigation, the newspaper's representative Emin Aydın, Responsible Editor-in-Chief Yeşim Ülker, and reporters İslam Keleş and İrem Delice were taken into custody.
RELEASED EARLIER
After the police custody procedures, İslam Keleş was released, while Emin Aydın, Responsible Editor-in-Chief Yeşim Ülker, and İrem Delice, who were referred to the courthouse, were released by the duty judge with judicial control conditions.
DETAINED FOLLOWING OBJECTION
After the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the decision, a new detention order was issued for İrem Delice. Delice was arrested by the duty judge before whom she was brought.
