Drawing attention to the rising costs in the music industry, Murat Dalkılıç stated that he has not been able to earn from concerts recently and described the difficulties he has faced. The singer also expressed regret about his acting career.
Murat Dalkilic made candid statements about his career and private life on a YouTube program he attended.
“INSTEAD OF MAKING MONEY, I PAID OUT OF MY OWN POCKET”
Touching on the rising costs in the music industry, Dalkilic said that recently, far from making money from concerts, he has been paying out of his own pocket.
“I’ve been in the nightlife for 26 years. I earned half of my life from Cesme and Bodrum. In the last year, I did 30 concerts, and for the first time, instead of making money, I paid out of my own pocket,” said the singer, noting that he tries to keep the system going to cover his team’s expenses.
Dalkilic stated that rising costs have seriously strained the concert industry, saying, “Costs have risen so much that doing a concert in Turkey is currently a utopian idea.”
HE TOLD OF HIS REGRET OVER HIS ACTING CAREER
Dalkilic, a graduate of Istanbul Beykent University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Acting Department, said he was unable to build a career in acting.
The singer noted that he had taken unpaid roles in his friends’ projects and comedy films in the past, and for this reason, he could not establish a career in acting.
“I acted for free in my friends’ projects and comedy films. That’s why I have no acting career left. Actually, I could have built a career from this. Later, I said, ‘I missed something that could have been very good.’”
HE TURNED TO PRODUCING
After his acting career, Dalkilic turned to producing in 2016, stating that he considers himself more talented in this field.
“This is my greatest talent in life. I set up the best idea in the best way, then I hand it over to those who can do it best,” said Dalkilic, emphasizing that producing holds an important place in his career.

Murat Dalkilic, who has been in a relationship with actress Ozgu Kaya for some time, also explained how their relationship began.
Dalkilic said the duo came together as friends in Suadiye, and that by the end of the night, their relationship had taken on a different dimension.
“It started in Suadiye, at our place. We went there at night as friends. While chatting, I started to think, ‘Am I falling in love?’ We entered that place very respectfully, and by the end of the night, we left hand in hand.”
