The framework law, aimed at establishing the legal infrastructure for the Terror-Free Türkiye process, was passed into law with 467 votes in the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly. In the voting, there were 87 no votes and 7 abstentions, and following the acceptance, it drew attention that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli went to the DEM Party benches and shook hands with co-chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları, and İmralı delegation member Pervin Buldan. At those moments, it was also observed that DEM Party deputies celebrated the acceptance of the proposal with celebratory ululations.
The bill titled 'Proposal for the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion,' which is intended to form the legal infrastructure of the Türkiye without Terrorism process and is publicly referred to as the 'framework law,' was accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) General Assembly. The entire 12-article proposal was enacted with 468 'yes' votes against 88 'no' votes and 6 'abstention' votes in the vote held.
BAHÇELİ SHOOK HANDS WITH DEM PARTY MEMBERS
Following the acceptance of the law, notable moments occurred in the Parliament.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli went to the DEM Party benches after the vote and shook hands with DEM Party Co-Chairs Tuncer Bakırhan and Tülay Hatimoğulları. Bahçeli also shook hands with Pervin Buldan, a member of the İmralı delegation and Deputy Speaker of the TBMM.
Bahçeli's greeting of the deputies by going to the DEM Party benches was among the notable images in the General Assembly.

Following the acceptance of the law, celebrations were also held in the DEM Party benches.

On the other hand, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, who answered journalists' questions upon exiting the General Assembly hall later, said in his first comment about the framework law, 'May it be auspicious and beneficial.'
