On August 24, during the Bosphorus Intercontinental Swimming Race held in the Istanbul Bosphorus, 29-year-old Russian swimmer Nikolai Andreevich Svechnikov went missing, and there has been no news of him for 4 days. Following this, Anatol Kotau, the International Department Head of the Belarus Sports Solidarity Fund, also disappeared in Istanbul. Kotau, who came to Istanbul for personal matters on Thursday, August 21, has not been heard from since.
Approximately 3,000 people participated in the Bosphorus Intercontinental Swimming Race held last Sunday, while 29-year-old swimmer Nikolai Andreevich Svechnikov, who came to Turkey from Russia for the event, went missing in the Bosphorus.

While the search efforts for the missing swimmer continue under the coordination of the Istanbul Governorship and the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, another notable missing case has occurred in Istanbul.
NO NEWS RECEIVED
Anatol Kotau, the International Department Head of the Belarus Sports Solidarity Fund, arrived in Istanbul on August 21. It was learned that Kotau did not inform his employer that he would be going to Turkey while taking leave from work, but he sent a message to his wife after landing in Istanbul.
Search efforts have begun for Kotau, who has not been heard from since that message, and the footage of the route he took from the airport is being closely monitored.
