A verdict has been issued in the case concerning the death of the famous artist Güllü, who died after falling from the window of her home on the 6th floor in Yalova. Her 28-year-old daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was tried for the offense of "premeditated intentional killing against an ascendant" of her mother, was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.
In the incident that occurred in Yalova on September 26, 2025, famous singer Güllü fell from the window of her home on the 6th floor and lost her life; as part of the extensive investigation launched after the incident, the artist's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, was detained and arrested. The trial process regarding the suspicious death, which caused a wide public reaction, has now come to an end.
PROSECUTOR DEMANDED AGGRAVATED LIFE IMPRISONMENT
At the final hearing of the case, the public prosecutor submitted his opinion on the merits to the court panel. In line with the collected evidence and the scope of the file, the prosecutor requested that the defendant, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, departing from the lower limit, for the crime of "premeditated intentional killing of a lineal ascendant."
NO REDUCTION IN SENTENCE FROM THE COURT
After taking the final defenses of the defendant and her lawyers, the court panel, which announced its decision, complied with the prosecutor's opinion and sentenced 28-year-old Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of premeditatedly killing her biological mother, the artist Güllü.
