AK Party and CHP had not exchanged Eid greetings for three holidays due to investigations into municipalities. Following the change in CHP leadership, delegations from both parties came together for an Eid greeting visit.
Today, on the second day of Eid al-Adha, a holiday greeting visit between parties will take place. The main agenda topics of the visits are the absolute nullity debate in the CHP, the terror-free Turkey process, and developments in the Middle East. The AK Party and the CHP are exchanging holiday greetings for the first time after three holidays.
AK PARTY AND CHP EXCHANGE GREETINGS AFTER 2 YEARS
The AK Party and the CHP had not exchanged holiday greetings for 2 years due to investigations into municipalities. After the change in the CHP leadership, the two parties decided to exchange greetings.
The CHP's greeting reception delegation includes Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen, Konya Deputy Barış Bektaş, and İzmir Deputy Sevda Erden Kılınç.
The visiting delegation includes Kütahya Deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap, Aydın Deputy Hüseyin Yıldız, and Ankara Deputy Deniz Demir.
AK PARTY TO EXCHANGE GREETINGS WITH 16 PARTIES
The AK Party will conduct mutual holiday visits with 16 parties. Among these parties are the CHP, DEVA Party, and Future Party.
The CHP's holiday greeting programs will take place under the shadow of the absolute nullity debate.
The DEM Party, İYİ Party, Workers' Party of Turkey, and Victory Party, who reacted to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the CHP chairmanship by court decision, will not go to the CHP.
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL IN PARLIAMENT
CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel has formed a separate greeting delegation in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Opposition parties that decided not to go to the headquarters will visit the CHP delegation in Parliament to express their support for Özel.
